Planned Parenthood On Trial In Virginia Court This Friday

This Friday, citizens of Charlottesville will be in court challenging the location of a Planned Parenthood facility in that community. Led by the Central Virginia Family Forum, the case argues that Planned Parenthood violated local zoning ordinances when it opened a clinic in a residential area without fully informing the city of the true nature of its business.

Of course, deception is nothing new for Planned Parenthood. In many instances around the country they have deceived localities when applying for rights to build clinics. They have even misled construction companies on the nature of projects because some builders refuse to construct clinics dedicated to the endless destruction of human life.

In preparation for this Friday’s court case, CVFF is asking citizens to unite in prayer. In addition, if you live in the Charlottesville area, they will be holding a special prayer event the night before the hearing on Thursday, March 13, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at Covenant Church, 1025 Rio Road. For more information, contact Marnie Deaton at marnie@cvff.org for more information.

I was wondering if you knew the outcome of the above Charlottesville Virginia court case held March 14, 2008? I was notified via e-mail by a friend to pray, which I did, but no one seems to know the outcome. Has the hearing not reached a verdict yet?
    Thanks for your help!

Joline – I don’t think anything has been decided yet. I did a search and didn’t find anything and have asked around. When I get more info, I’ll pass it along. Have you e-mailed Marnie Deaton at marnie@cvff.org as mentioned in the post? I just e-mailed her myself. Hopefully she’ll respond or just post an update here herself. Thanks for your question and your prayers.

UPDATE: Joline – As I expected, the judge hasn’t submitted a ruling yet. We heard from Marnie Deaton late yesterday and she said the judge announced that he would make his decision through a written ruling, but did not say when he would issue it. This is not an unusual practice.
