Obama At His Best
As I mentioned last week, having a great network of followers makes my blogging life easy. (Except for the constant autograph seeking groupies — not!) Today, our great American friend WizeMaxie brings this to our attention, via Theo Spark — the orator of our time, the chosen one, the post partisan healer, the world’s rock star and the Nobel Peace Prize (but Olympic strikeout) winner at his very best (better, even, than when he claimed to have “visited 57 states with one more to go,” see YouTube), lying faster than Usain Bolt runs. Without further adieu, then, Barack Hussein Obama, mmm, mmm, good!
What it means to live in the Age of Obama: Don’t blink or you’ll miss it . . . seven lies in less than two minutes.
What in the world does any of this have to do with “Family” matters?
You’re splitting hairs here, big time. Quote #2 (not lie) is essentially exactly what Brandeis said. If he had said “sunlight is the worst disinfectant”, or “sunlight is among the worst of disinfectants”, then OK, you’d have something there.
But that’s not what he said.
This posting is cheap and dirty, but plays perfectly to your blind followers.
Consider me no longer one of them.
Paul: Why do I suspect your outrage is not exactly sincere? First, this president has done and is doing everything he can to undermine traditional family values, values the vast majority of Americans believe in, and of which this country was built. So, videos like this are instructive as to who he is.
We didn’t produce the video, but if you want to nitpick on that one quote, then know this: the “sunshine” phrase is slightly taken out of context as well as misquoted. Furthermore, the larger point is, Mr. Obama is not doing what he preached regarding open government. In fact, he has gone far off in the opposite direction and seeks more government control on just about every facet of our lives.
But I suppose, regardless of who’s right on the quote, you’re perfectly OK with the rest of the lies in the video?
If you think this is “dirty and cheap” I wonder if you go to leftist blogs and register your dissatisfaction with their vile comments toward conservatives — or anyone with whom they disagree. This was nothing more than a slight poke and, if you can’t take a slight poke, you don’t belong in this arena. Yet, the left goes well beyond pokes, with fictional acusations and personal attacks on family members of conservatives, not to mention the conservative politician him- or herself. Finally, call me crazy, but there’s something in your tone which makes me believe you never have been one of our “followers.”

Paul: You base your entire argument around a comment about sunlight. Completely ignoring the whole point of the video.
Unless Obama makes good on his promises, they will remain untrue. I doubt that he has any intent of making things more transparent. Just a load of crap coming from a politician that wanted to get into a position of control. Where did we go so wrong, when did we start trusting politicians.
