Rep. Forbes, Prayer Caucus: Obama Doesn’t Know National Motto!

Congressman Randy Forbes (R-Va.), founder and co-chairman of the Congressional Prayer Caucus, was taken aback during President Obama’s recent trip to Indonesia (see WorldNetDaily). While there, he said in a speech that America’s national motto is E pluribus unum“Out of many, one.” While the Latin is on our Great Seal, it is not our national motto. “In God we trust” is.

The smartest president ever according to his cheerleaders, gaffed. Again. The man who can’t speak without a teleprompter, of “corpseman” fame, who confuses Memorial Day with Veterans Day, and who said we have 57 states, got something that simple so very wrong. The question is why? Was it intentional? Did he not want to mention God? It’s happened before. Remember this — when he omitted the reference to God in the Declaration of Independence? He’s either not too bright or intentionally ignores God’s presence in our country’s founding.

So Congressman Forbes and 41 bipartisan members of the Prayer Caucus sent the president a letter (see it and its signatories, here), which states in part:

In your speech in Indonesia, you mentioned being unified under one flag. The Pledge of Allegiance to our flag says that we are “one nation under God.” As President of the United States, you are our representative to the rest of the world. By misrepresenting things as foundational as the Declaration of Independence and our national motto, you are not only doing a disservice to the people you represent you are casting aside an integral part of American society.

In a news release (see here), he further elaborated:

For the President of the United States to incorrectly state something as foundational as our national motto in another country is unacceptable. The President is the primary representative of our nation to the world, and whether mistake or intention, his actions cast aside an integral part of American society. President Reagan once warned that “If we ever forget that we’re one nation under God, then we will be a nation gone under.”

The Prayer Caucus documented other instances in which the president has, for unexplained reasons, intentionally omitted references to God where they were made historically. It asked the president to correct the recent mistake and ensure that it does not happen again. Despite his gargantuan ego, the latter is a larger ask than the former.

Liberal, secular progressivism exposes itself in these instances. Far from being open and tolerant, it attempts to whitewash history and is intolerant. But whitewashing history does not change it and the truth always prevails. We applaud the actions of the Congressman Forbes and the Congressional Prayer Caucus for holding President Obama and the secular progressive ideology he embodies to account.

I listened to the debate of this Subject Matter of an establishment of Religion or the permanent establishment of In God We Trust. Will someone listen and consider my debate? Please notice that this open debate was only concerning one Subject Matter; In God We Trust. Isn’t this the natural way that Congress conducts their business matters; they deal with ONE Subject Matter at a time. Is the Subject Matter being discussed in this written sentence of our First Amendment– Congress shall no law OR is the Subject Matter RELIGION? Congressman Watts wants to bring up the Lemon Test; I want to bring up the English Test. Can this sentence, our First Amendment, be proved to be concerning RELIGION only? Who is speaking to Congress? That answer is– Our forefathers who wrote the Constitution. What are our forefathers, their words, OR the Constitution telling them? They are telling them don’t make any laws respecting, concerning, about, or regarding an establishment of religion here in the United States, OR prohibiting the free exercise thereof. Respecting is a preposistion in this sentence meaning concerning–about–regarding. That means don’t make NO law about religion and don’t PROHIBIT any of its free exercise. But wait! I don’t see any PERIOD ending the sentence, do you? So this SUBJECT MATTER of an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof has not closed yet. You know the old saying; end of subject, end of matter PERIOD. Well there is no period. Since I don’t see a period in this sentence yet, does that mean that our forefathers is going to switch the SUBJECT MATTER in the middle of this discussion or this sentence? Is this what they do when they meet? Do they swich from one TOPIC to any other when they are amending a LAW. Is this they way that they conduct business? No, they take ONE MATTER at a time as they are doing this very moment. Right now they are discussing reaffirming our national motto. They talk about all the ISSUES concerning the Subject Matter. Right NOW I am watching the videos. They are not mixing any other ISSUES into this Subject Matter. If they are not mixing different Subjects ; Topics; or Issues together in this meeting–they didn’t do it in our First Amendment or in this sentence either. This is NOT they way it’s done in government. They take ONE Subject Matter at a time. and then they vote on the Matter concerning the welfare of all people. This sentence is just like this real Session. Think about it Congressmen and Women. How do you all really do it? Do you all stay on the Same Subject ; Topic or Issue when you are getting ready to amend the Constitution? Would that amendment be concerning one SUBJECT MATTER? Just look at the amendments. Is there more than ONE SUBJECT MATTER being addressed? When our forefathers amended this written law of our land they made it a LAW that Congress could never make any laws concerning religion or prohibiting, to refuse to permit; to prevent or hinder the free exercise of religion. They wanted religion established in America. Free exercise pretty much sums up the freedom of religious speech. It pretty much sums up the religious press. Ever had someone pressure you to go to church? Ever had someone knock on your door and invite you to a tent revival? Ever heard someone preaching on the streets–preasuring people to turn their live around? That is a PRESS. If you don’t believe this what does abridging mean. It means to lessen. Congress can not LESSEN the freedom of religious speech or lessen the religious PRESS. Our forefathers wanted people to turn their lives around and live a good and right life. Trusting and believing in God helps to keep peace and order in this country. Religion is the biggest help to government in every way. Then Congress was told by our forefathers, or Constition, or these written words— Congress shall make no laws abridging or lessening the right of the people peacefully to assembly. If one will notice, there is no verb in front of the right of the people to peaceably assemble. Our forefathers wanted people to be able to freely spread the Word of God. They wanted people to have religious standards; morals and principles. Morals?? What the heck is that in todays world? Take religion out of the sight and out of the minds of people and morals disappear!! That is a proven fact. Our forefathers built our laws on moral standards, moral living, and moral principals. They wanted all the people to learn about God and about the teachings of Jesus. This is the MOST important ISSUE in America. There is no other ISSUE or SUBJECT MATTER more important than belief in religion. My dictionary says religion means to bind back; to bind, to bind together, pay heed to, It means belief in a divine super human power or powers to be obeyed and worshiped as the creator (s) and ruler (s) of the universe. That is an establishment of religion; it is not a church building or a certain denomination. Our forefathers did not build a wall of seperation; they tore it down . Ignorance built the wall because nobody understood what they were reading. Freedom of all speech and freedom of the press was already taken care of under Article 1–Section 8. The beginning of this sentence reads, ” Congress SHALL HAVE THE POWER TO…….here is where they put the freedom of the speech for all people and the freeedom of the press for all people. One just has to understand that there is an ART to speaking, and there is an ART to writing. Every word spoken or written paints a picture in our minds. Picture this. Congress shall have the POWER to promote the PROGRESS of Science and USEFUL ARTS. Isn’t there a science to everything? Is there a certain science to words whether they be spoken or written? Maybe it would be the Science of how anger gets formed from spoken or written words. I just showed you how words are another form of art, but the thing that really has to be understood in this sentenece is that word–RESPECTIVE. So let us read this section 8 so we can clearly understand what our forefathers; the Constitution OR these written words told Congress. Pay attention to the capitol letters in this sentence. We also have to understand that emphasis is being put on certain words. Congress shall have the Power to promote the Progress of Science and useful Arts, by securing for limited Times to Authors and Inventers the exclusive Right to their respective Writings and Discoveries. Let us look up this word respective. It is an adj. which comes from the word respect; to feel or show honor or esteem for; consider or treat with deference or courtesy, to show consideration for; avoid intruding upon or molesting, as respect his privacy, etc., etc,. etc. RESPECTIVE Writings and Discoveries. Were the writtings of Westboro Baptist Church protesting signs RESPECTIVE????? Congress has the Power to make laws against disrespectful signs, and disrespectable behaviors in our country. These so called christian people might have the right to peaceably assemble; but they had no RESPECTIVE writings. All of their writtings were DISRESPECTIVE to this poor family that just lost their son. Congress, our forefathers gave you Power TO stop these kinds of actions. I also have a right to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. With respect to all of you Congress men and women, I am making a solemn, earnest request. I ask you to please redress this First Amendment. Congress compare what you are doing today and see if that isn’t exactly how they conducted Business also. There is no period till the end of the sentence. Congress shall make no law respecting and establishment, OR prohibiting the free exercise thereof; OR abridging the freedom of speech, OR the press; OR thee right of the people to peaceably assemble, AND to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. End of Subject; End of Matter. Period!!! God Bless Our Country. All of these OR’S relate to the Subject Matter being spoken about. Understandest what thou readest? I did my job of digging. All you all have to do is get the GOLD.

Jesus said, Folllow me, I will make you fishers of men. I tried and tried to figure that one sentence out . When one goes fishing, they try to catch a fish. So I keep fishing and fishing for the truth. I think I caught another fish this morning that can feed at least five thousand people. So here is some “food for thought”. I think it is a good catch for the day. Can one fish feed five thousand people? I hope it feeds ten thousand people. Understandest what thou readest? God showed me that this morning. The Bible is the book of LIFE just like it says it is. Anyhow, lets get on with it; who wants to learn about understanding what they are reading. I do–I do–I do!!! As one can notice, I am not a writer, I am a THINKER. What good does it do to keep thinking deep if there is no one who will listen to you? Like Moses, I keep saying Lord I can’t prove to people that this First Amendment is only concerning an establishment of religion–get someone else. I have tried for 30 years and no one will listen to me!! But God never lets me alone–He keeps pushing me and saying you can do it. Just keep thinking–the TRUTH will guide you. I tell Him, I am not elequent in writing and my speech is not right. He didn’t care; He still wanted me to go tell the people to let His people go so they could freely serve Him. I fought with God for years and years and then he said to me, I’ll send Randy Forbes, your brother in Christ, to help you get the job done. This is how life is. We don’t have enough faith and belief in and ourselves to get something done. God kept pushing and pushing Moses to have faith in himself so he could have faith in God. This is called religious persuasion; trusting God. Hang all the LAWS and all the PROFITS of Society and Life on RELIGIOUS PERSUASION and everything in our United States will change back to the WAY things were set up in the beginning of our government. A very educated attorney once told me that our Preamble was not part of our Constitution. I totally disagreeded with him. It is part of this body of Laws. It is the HEAD and the head said to the body: ” We the People, of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquiity, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ORDAIN and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. We the people do ORDAIN and establish this Constitution. These people did not just accept and establish this Constitution. They ordained it after they accepted it. What did the word ordain mean in 1776. They put it in order, they arranged it, and they prepared it. Ordain means also to appoint; decree; order; establish; enact. Then it means to appoint or admit to the Christian ministry. Was this Constitution admitted into the Christian Ministry?? The truth of the matter is, this Constitution was set up according to Religious Persuasion. Laws were set up according to Religious Persuasion. Our Bill of Rights were set up according to Religious Persuasion. Nothing was set up according to a church. Everything was set up and arranged according to Religious Persuasion. So as I keep fishing in the deep waters of thinking; I see that it was We the People that was giving the orders to the Representatives of Congress when they said, Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; OR abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; OR the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. Who was giving the orders to Congress? The Head of all of all of our government–We the People–The Preamble! One can’t have a body of laws without a head guiding the laws. This Preamble is part of the body of our Constitution. Our representatives are the ORDAINED MINISTERS of Religious Persuasion for Law and Order; our Supreme Court Judges are the ORDAINED MINISTERS of religious Persuasion For Justice; OR Judgment; and the priests and the preaches are the ORDAINED MINISTERS of Religious Persuasion For Churches . Maybe all this food for thought will help people understand beyond any shadow of a doubt that we ARE a Christion Nation that believes in Religious Persuasion. Just try to digest it for a little while.
